February 29th, 2012:  It would figure that the one time winter truly showed up here during the entire month of February would be on the *extra* day we get this year.  I can’t really complain though, because we’ve really been lucky this year, especially compared to last year’s record snowfalls. [Plus, I’m still just happy that we didn’t have any of this snowy weather a couple of weeks ago for SnarkNYC.]

It’s been really funny seeing everyone around here completely flipping-out over a few inches of snow, it’s almost like they’ve all completely forgotten how bad last year was, when we wouldn’t even have been fazed by any storms that were less than a foot!

The first shot here are the trees next to my office building, where I’ve taken many of my favorite sunset shots, looking completely different today as I left work.  The second photo is the view looking directly out from the front of my apartment building.

No matter how bad it’s snowing out, you will almost never catch me wearing a hat!

February 24th, 2012:  [The photo that the Tumblr App wouldn’t let me post from my phone this morning …and then I forgot to post when I got home earlier.]  The exact same trees I took my sunset shot through the night before, early this morning after a *surprise* overnight snowfall.

January 23rd, 2012:  Unfortunately, the skies were grey & overcast all day long, so there were absolutely no options to take either sunrise or sunset shots… Instead, here are some more snowy winter shots from around town, which I took on my way home from work today.

January 22nd, 2012 [Part 2]: After that ridiculously huge breakfast early this afternoon, I decided to walk it off, and take a few post-snowstorm photos up in the hill-section of town.

Catching up from the weekend…

Between a snowstorm and almost no wifi connection all-day yesterday, I was in full-on “Hermit” mode Saturday. - I literally only talked to two people over a 24-hour time period: one by text, and one by KiK …and *both* were Tumblrs!

I’m going to try to quickly catch-up on my Saturday, before the connection dies again:

Saturday, January 21st, 2012:  I had originally planned to go out to breakfast, because I woke up late both days last weekend, and missed it… but Mother Nature had other plans: Our first “big”-ish storm of the season (about 6-8 inches).

The shot outside my kitchen window, shortly after I woke up:

So, I decided instead to have a “lazy” day, & catch up on my DVR. - I took a photo of my laziness, and had planned to post it with a write-up yesterday afternoon, but then my laptop wouldn’t connect until late last night - and even then, it would crash every single time I tried writing the post… Ugh!  I think I’ll save that one for my “Mugshot Monday” pic for tomorrow.

- And now my wifi’s getting shaky again, so I’d better wrap up this post. - Here are a couple of “after the storm” shots I took late yesterday afternoon… They’re not the greatest quality because I took them both from my windows:

From my bedroom window…

And one more from my kitchen…

[…And now I’m hoping my connection holds on long enough to write-up the post for *today’s* pics! …{*crosses fingers*}]

January 17th, 2012:  Scenes from the first snowfall of 2012!

At this time a year ago we had been buried under by snowstorm after snowstorm, a 1 foot snowfall followed immediately by another 2 feet on top on that. - But that was LAST year, and *this* year we hadn’t gotten any snow since that strange freak storm on the last weekend of October… until last night!

Here are a few pics I took this morning, shortly after I got to work. - By this afternoon the weather changed to rain, and has already melted away the majority of the snow.

Summer’s almost here… we can now see the deer moving around in our back yard…

…Yep, won’t be long.

Enough with the F’n Snow!!!

Yup, snowed-in again!!!  Another 18 inches of snow (a full foot hit overnight) where I live in CT, and they haven’t even begun to plow my road yet!

In ten years at my job, I’ve never before had to take more than one snow-day off per year… but now this will be my third snow-day in three weeks!!!

UGH!!!

kristynibbles replied to your post: Yes, it”s been one of *those* days…

2 feet?! HOLY SHIT! I thought 7 inches was a lot (which it is for GA) but 2 feet? OMG. Stay warm, sugar.

Yes, it was a few inches over 2 feet!!!  It’s alot more than what we usually get too!

The only time I can remember us getting even close to this amount was the infamous “Blizzard of ‘78”, when I was 5 yrs old!

While I didn’t take any pics this morning, this photo is a great representation* of what our sidewalks were like this morning:

(*Reminder- NOT my photo!)
