Social Distortion - Ring Of Fire

I first posted this song about 15-16 months ago, and that night an awesome tumblr I had never met before reblogged me, which lead to us following each other… Over that time I’ve seen her grow so incredibly much as a person, and have watched her journey as she’s followed her dreams and moved from her home in Tennessee, all the way to New York City. 

Moving to NYC was a dream that I had when I was about her age (in my early twenties) and had often regretted not following, so for me experiencing her early struggles, and watching her bounce back even-stronger every single time it seemed the mix of New York & being homesick was beginning to get to her has been absolutely inspiring.  

It’s sometimes hard to believe she’s as young as she is, because she has a wisdom and maturity level far beyond her age, and you can see that by the wide-range of Tumblrs that she is friends with, they truly cross all generational gaps here. So many of us have cheered her on, and with every success that she’s earned for herself over the past year, we’ve grown prouder & prouder of her… And I’m truly proud to call her my friend, and to have met her now in real life!

So, I wanted to post this song again tonight (just getting it in under the wire) for her birthday… Happy Birthday sarahgetsit!
